Helping local entrepreneurs to help themselves

At Kids of Africa we get closely involved in some of the social-, cultural- and economic opportunities in Uganda. Uganda is gifted not only by nature but also by a growing and talented working-age population. With better education and -entrepreneurship it could face a bright future

Every time we travel in Uganda, we meet some talented craftsmen and entrepreneurs. Some of them we would like to support. We do this to create role models, jobs and an attitude that pursues opportunities even where many cannot see it.

We work with several social entrepreneurs who are committed to quality, to their employees and to their clients. We try to encourage and support their growth-plans. We also help them create new markets in Uganda and even abroad - through co-branding with Kids of Africa and use of our expanding network of friends and supporters. Two current examples are available through our webshop: pure Ugandan honey and pyjamas made with pride from Kikoy – the real East-African cotton.

Did you know that Africa is home to the world’s strongest bee population and possibly the world’s best honey, courtesy to its rich flora?
