Olé, olé, olé, olé! Also in Uganda...

It is hard to describe or even match the unifying and inspiring impact which our many sports  activities have on our families, our village and our wider community. Sports activities and physical education are cornerstones of our holistic, child-centred education principles. Need we explain that they are easily the most popular activities at Kids of Africa?

And their continuous and increasing success motivates us to foster our children’s talents and interests even more and to continue to reach further out into our community because nothing seems to bring people together more cheerfully than a good sports-afternoon on a sunny weekend!

Among the many regular activities, our “Children’s-Olympics” rank popular with the youngest. They include gum-boot-running, rope-pulling, ball-games and many more. It never ceases to amaze us how these games can put sparkles into every child’s eyes and how it can create a greater sense of identity and happiness than – frankly – most other daily activities can!

The older children are, of course, keen football players! Almost every sunny afternoon, our village is visited by groups of other children or young adults from our neighbourhood who play with and against the various Kids-of-Africa-Teams on our full size football pitch.
