Practical skills for life
Vocational training is increasingly important for our oldest children. We have just recently completed the construction of a well-designed workshop which has been built and equipped with the generous help of a private sponsor. As we teach our grown-ups to make, maintain or repair useful things in our workshop, we can help some of them discover their vocation and we can teach them practical skills for life.
Our workshop also serves as an important centre for adult education. We regularly teach staff- and community members in carpentry, metal works, mechanics and other applied, practical skills.
In a few years, our dream is to be recognized as a place where quality, friendliness and good service are hallmarks of the Kids-of-Africa-way of work.
