Volker and Burkhard Varnholt are brothers and Volker has also been with Kids of Africa ever since our first day. Volker’s passion for Kids of Africa and also for Uganda began during his first visit to the country in 2002. That year Volker and Burkhard flew to Uganda to recruit our first mothers and other members of staff. They also took the opportunity to spend some time in Kampala and also travelled the country. It was a memorable visit which marked and created the beginning of their common journey in pursing a common dream.
