Dear Friends
After a challenging year we wish you a blessed Christmas. We wish you peace and time to pause. Good luck, happy moments and good health. Many of us must be longing for that. Good enough, it normally doesn’t take too much. A few kind words can go a long way. That’s why our last letter in 2020 expresses small words of great gratitude – with a sweetly glittering video-greeting, which some kids and a mum made – and asked me to share with you.
“A ray of light”
“Happy Christmas. My Name is Betty Kirabo. I have lived in Kids of Africa for almost all of my life. Which has been a Blessing. I wish that every child in the world had a Family to call home. It’s meant the world. To me and to everyone at KoA. Thank you for that. Because KoA is like a ray of light – it has given me a sense of belonging. And one good day, when I have a Family, too, I hope that I can pass on what I enjoyed here. Thank you. And have a Merry Christmas.”

“The most important thing”
Merry Christmas to all of you. I am Whitney Nakassuja. I love Football, running and spending time with Friends. I wanted to thank you for making this Village possible. A Family is the most important thing for every child to grow up in. To me, that’s what I will Always cherish about Kids of Africa. And pass on. Have a wonderful Christmas time, wherever you are!”

“Together we stand strong”
“I wish you a merry Christmas. This year was like no other. We faced the Lockdown, the Virus, the rain and high water and we feel that in difficult times, Africa is strong. Because we know that we must stand together. And we can. This year, Ugandans stand together like never before. Here at KoA we are also reaching out to others. Because we believe in the future, because we are the future. Thank you for your support. We love you! God bless you and your families.”

“A mother is for life”
“Merry Christmas. I am Mother Joselyn. I have been a mother at Kids of Africa since 2005. My ten Children have all grown up well. They are strong, they are curious and they are helpful, because that’s what we believe is important. Being a mother at Kids of Africa is like a bond for life and a precious gift. Thank you for helping Kids of Africa to help Kids in Uganda. God bless you.”
