Mother’s Day greetings from Uganda – a moving story about courage and love
Dear friends
Mums are the best. Would we exist without them? Of course not. Mothers give us our first unconditional love. Security so that we can develop. They help us to learn to stand on our own two feet. Mothers always remain role models. Even when it’s our turn to take on responsibility.

For Mother’s Day, I am sending you a very special success story.
The three friends Rachel, Elizabeth and Immaculate are studying agriculture together. Rachel, the first in the video, came to Kids of Africa around 15 years ago with severe physical deformities in her jaw and face.
It is thanks to a Belgian doctor who visited Kids of Africa that he successfully operated on her and changed her life. But there is also the story of her mother. She stood by her and believed in her when her disability stigmatised her.
She awakened her love of nature and farming. In the seasons, the time to sow and the time to harvest. For all this and much more, the three friends have produced this short video. As a thank you to all women and mothers who give more than they take. I wish you a sunny Mother’s Day!
With best wishes
Yours
