We would also like to extend our greetings to our wonderful Ugandan management team, Dorte & Tage and Esbern Budolfsen. Dorte and Tage have been managing Kids of Africa (Uganda) for more than 18 years. They are shining examples for many in Uganda, especially for our protégés.
For her son Esbern, a tireless athlete, educator and organiser of countless activities, teaching is more of a calling than a profession.
He follows in Dortes’s formative footsteps. His motto, “A teacher has to be fair, friendly and firm,” is his trademark and, in addition to his sporting initiatives, has earned him a great deal of respect, recognition and appreciation far beyond Kids of Africa.
Dear friends, on behalf of the Swiss association’s board, my wife, Salome Grisard-Varnholt, our companions and loyal friends of over twenty years, I would like to thank Dorte, Tage and Esbern, as well as the entire team at Kids of Africa and, above all, you, our pioneers: Dr. med Danielle Gyurech, Dr. med. PD Julian Schilling. My brother Volker and his wife Josephin Varnholt.
Without all of them, Kids of Africa would not exist. On their behalf, and on behalf of our protégés, I would like to thank you for your support over the past year and hope you will continue to support us in the new year.
